Mission Statement

The mission of the Yachats Public Library is to provide free and open access to a safe, welcoming space. The library is dedicated to promoting life-long learning; providing the community with the tools and resources to both foster literacy and to provide entertainment.

Collection, Print and Physical

We have a diverse collection of books, including large print books. We also have a special section on the Pacific Northwest, sure to inform and entertain you! Our collection of movies and audio books make a rainy beach day even more memorable, and our selection of newspapers and other periodicals will keep you up to date on what's happening in our little village and beyond. Come in and browse!

Collection, Digital

As a member of the Oregon Coast Consortium, eligible library patrons have access to over 60,000 digital books and audiobooks online, via the Libby app on your phone or computer.

If you live within 97498-zip code, have a Yachats Library card, and no overdue items, you are eligible to sign up.

Stop by or call the library to sign up and receive your access PIN.

Many thanks to the Friends of Yachats Library for securing the grant that made this possible.

The Yachats Library is an independent library operated by staff and volunteers, owned by the City of Yachats, overseen by the Library Commission and supported by the non-profit Friends of Yachats Library
