The following action items were developed during a meeting on November 27, 2018:
Property Easements
County to finalize easements and send to City attorney for review
Archeologist
The State Archeologist quoted a ballpark of cost of $45,000 – $75,000 for an archeological study for the guardrail areas. The County agreed to cover this cost. The County also agreed to arrange for a study, and to pay for the additional study, in the area that the Trails Committee proposed to construct a Boardwalk along Oceanview Drive from Highway 101 to the State Park. The Trails Committee provided information on the exact areas in need of study.
The study is likely to occur in late January or February 2019.
Guardrails
The County will pay for and install new guardrails before the overlay is completed around mid-March 2019.
Culverts
Yachats Public Works Department identified nine culverts running under Oceanview Drive, and the County still plans to put inserts into the identified culverts to improve their strength and sustainability for the future. The inserts will be installed around the end of March 2019.
